LPU lifts youth fest trophy

Ludhiana: The five-day Inter-Zone North University Youth Festival at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) concluded on a high note.Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, bagged the overall championship trophy followed by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. In fine arts, Dr B R Ambedkar University, Agra won a trophy in music categorie, LPU in literary competition and Choudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa in dance.The day started with the prize distribution ceremony in the presence of chief guest Education minister Daljit Singh Cheema.Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, vice-chancellor, PAU said, "It's matter of pride that PAU organized this festival. Festivals are very crucial, they give us new ideas, thoughts and knowledge about our cultural diversity."
